Empire Falls is an Acoustic duo with a strong rock / pop repertoire ranging through eras from the 60’s to today. We keep 60 plus songs current in our repertoire with a commitment to incorporating new songs on a regular basis.
Empire Falls has experienced two line-up changes since it’s formation in August 2005, first from a trio to a duo, and then with Matthew’s integration in January 2006.
Matthew Shadwick, guitar, is an experienced guitarist who has played for the past 12 years in covers and original bands both in Australia and overseas. He is currently playing in an original band – Dallas Cosmos and the Wonderfulls.
Jessica Lawson, vocals, is an experienced vocalist with experience in Australia, England, US and Europe. Most recently she fronted an acoustic duo – Flirtatious, and has filled in for various bands. Jessica is the sole founding member of Empire Falls, which began as trio in August 2005.
Empire Falls has played various venues since October 2005 with a resident gig at Paddy’s Tavern.
Empire Falls would best suit functions, parties, wedding and pub/restaurant venues or as a support to other bands with their laid back feel and tempo. |
