Knox Conference on Business Success in a Digital Economy

The 2012 Knox Prosperous Modern Economy was held on Friday 4th May 2012, with over 130 particpants actively engaged in how the rapidly emerging digital economy could shape the future business world. The key note speakers were Dr. Tim Williams who spoke about the NBN and what it means for the future of business in Australia and Morris Miselowski, futurist who projected what the next 10 years will look like for business. The other speakers wereJoe Dennis, NBN Co gave an update on the process for the rollout of the NBN and what businesses should be doing to ensure they are ready and Dr. Erol Harvey CEO MiniFab explained the digital impact of manufacturing in a high cost environment. In addition Andre Quijano from Eco Tech presented a case study on the importance of ICT to our business and finally Mardi Solomon & Paul Gallagher from Knox City Council explained how the Council have used technology and Social Media to go online and stay ahead.
All the speakers shared their insights into the challenges and opportunities that the rapidly emerging digital economy will present now and into the future. Survey feedback to date from attendees of the 2nd annual Knox Conference are saying it was a great success.
