Our Role

The Economic Development team at Knox City Council is the first and best provider of information, advice and action in support of local business and economic development.

We support businesses within Knox by providing education assistance with business development and planning; facilitating issues that may arise with Council, Government agencies or utilities; connecting Knox business with each other; and highlighting opportunities that may exist for funding or other business development services.

Along with helping businesses meet today's challenges, we work on economic development strategies to realise Knox's potential as prosperous and modern economy.

We work in partnership with State and Federal Governments Agencies and Educators to provide and promote a calendar of events, seminars and training opportunities aimed at strengthening and supporting business.

Knox Council provides access to information on Knox's business profile, demographics and economic trends; and to local businesses through the Knox Business Directory www.knoxbusinessdirect.com.au .

We are committed to connecting local businesses with each other through its online KBD Business Directory and facilitation of local business networking events / forums.

 Knox Council is committed to understand the diversity and needs of its business community and to provide up to date information on available business services, funding and grants, and information; We will also help with any issues which might arise across Council departments and with issues concerning Government Authorities.
